The Russian word for stomach ‘zhivot’ stems from the same root as the word for life ‘zhizn.’ Life itself is associated in Russian culture with the stomach, and Eastern Europe and Russia are populated by peoples who love to eat well. Located on the Black Sea coast and at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains, Sochi is influenced by a wide variety of cultures and countries. Here are some of our favorite places to eat in the bustling city of Sochi.
