Owner Sofia Landeau’s heavenly chocolate cake, made from a mixture of a chocolate mousse and a soft brownie, has become so well-known among sweet lovers that she eventually had no choice but to open her all-chocolate cafe and shop. Her philosophy is to treat customers to the best quality chocolate products available. The venue, painted in calm white and blue and located inside LX Factory, is small but cosy, and she also takes orders for delivery. At Landeau Cafe, try Sofia’s signature hot chocolate made with 70% cocoa.

2. Cafe da Fábrica

Found by the entrance of LX Factory, this cafe presents a menu of light meals made from traditional Portuguese products. To accompany the meal, select drinks from a variety of natural and fresh coffees and juices. Cafe da Fábrica has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, thanks to its cozy interior with vintage furnishings.

3. Le Boulangerie

Le Boulangerie is a bakery, inspired by those little charming French cafes, with the smell of freshly baked croissants and pastries spreading for miles. The menu at Le Boulangerie changes daily but inludes items such as baguettes, croissants, tartines and pies. The interior of Le Boulangerie features vintage tables and wooden elements which give the place a cozy and welcoming ambiance.

4. Le Chat Cafe-Restaurant

Located right beside the Ancient Art Museum, Le Chat is a perfect place to combine a lazy afternoon sightseeing and a brunch. Inside the cafe, which is actually a transparent glass cube, there are immaculately white chairs and tables facing the River Tagus and offering stunning views of the waterside from every angle possible. It serves light meals such as salads, mini-burgers and finger sandwiches, as well as some genuine cocktails, including mojito with ginger and coriander gin. 5. Dervixe Restaurant

Dervixe offers authentic Turkish cuisine. It is owned by a Turkish man named Murat, who dreamed of opening a proper Turkish restaurant in Lisbon that would not only serve typical kebabs, but would be a cultural hub and a venue for experimenting with one’s taste buds. Don’t be overwhelmed by the simplicity of decorations and furniture, because the food is indeed delicious. The owners offer juicy cow and chicken meat alongside famous Turkish pide. A great meal can be finished with fragrant Turkish coffee or tea.
