This grand neoclassical mansion, 3mi (5km) south of the city centre, makes its presence felt with ionic columns and rooftop statues. It backs onto the peaceful oaks and plane trees of Park Południowy (South Park), which boasts a pond and a bronze statue of Chopin. Wroclaw’s oldest hotel building is a head-turner: a late-19th-century neo-baroque landmark with wrought iron balconies overlooking a stately street in the city centre.
