The Polish capital Warsaw is turning into a real digital hub these days. With a constant influx of new business, there is a real buzz around the city centre during office hours. This has led to the opening of lots of new cafés catering to the working traveller. Whether it’s an important business meeting, a bit of blogging on the move or you just want to access Facebook while sipping a decent cappuccino, this list features the best Wi-Fi cafés in the city.

Być Może

Cafe, Bistro, Polish

Być Może is a quirky joint and one with a relaxed atmosphere and open-plan design. Situated on a busy corner at Plac Unii Lubelskiej, it is close to a main junction and tram and bus stops. Inside, it is an old-school building that has been redecorated. Opening hours are from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m., and food is served throughout, including some great breakfast options and sandwiches for lunch. The tea and coffee range is good, and there are tables by the window that are perfect for laptops.

Ministerstwo Kawy

Cafe, Polish

Ministerstwo Kawy is situated near a tram stop on Marszałkowska Street and is a cosy yet small venue. The coffee is great, and there is a relaxed vibe. There are a limited number of seats at Ministerstwo, which is almost always busy, so be sure to get in early to secure a good spot. Clients tend to stay for a few hours, drinking coffee, making use of the Wi-Fi and perhaps enjoying some cake or a sandwich. The food menu is limited, but this is a great Wi-Fi spot.

Cafe Krucza 23

Cafe, Restaurant, Polish

Situated in central Warsaw on Krucza Street, this rectangular one-room venue has everything a digital nomad could need to work online. Cafe Krucza 23 has fast Wi-Fi, sockets to charge your laptop and phone, a range of good teas and coffees and some great tasty meals.

To Lubię

Cafe, Polish

One of the best options right on the edge of Warsaw’s Old Town is To Lubię, which literally translates as ‘I like it’. To Lubię has a ground floor, an upper floor and in summers has outdoor seating out the front. There are plenty of tables despite being a small café, and the Wi-Fi works upstairs and downstairs. The coffee shop also has a signature drink with alcohol and honey called Miod Pity. It is available by the glass, and even bottles are sold.

Cafe Kulturalna

Cafe, Polish

It doesn’t get much more iconic a location than this. Not only are you in the ‘Cafe of Culture’, but you will be working on the ground floor of Warsaw’s most famous building – the Palace of Culture and Science. Despite being in such a prominent location, this café is still a good place to get some work done in peace. Cafe Kulturalna is also a handy stop for those waiting on getting a train to another part of Poland, as the central train station is just five minutes’ walk away. The coffee range is fairly standard, and the venue caters toward lunches, with salads, soups and pasta being the main items on the food menu.

Green Caffè Nero

Cafe, Coffee Shop, Polish

Green Caffè Nero has to make the list for the simple fact that their cafés have great Wi-Fi and are hard to miss. It was originally a quirky Polish franchise chain called Green Cafe, which was bought out by the British company Caffè Nero. With Caffè Nero, you also have a choice of locations, as there are at least 15 of their coffee shops in Central Warsaw. This has led to brand consistency. The Wi-Fi is always fast and easy to access, the coffee menu is the same in each venue, there are books to read for those who want to relax, and the company has a loyalty card where your tenth coffee is free. The Nowy Świat venue is spacious and a great place in which to work.

Relax Cafe

Cafe, Polish

Relax Cafe is a place to do exactly what its title suggests. It’s a small venue on a quiet alley just off Ulica Złota. The location is good, the Wi-Fi works well, and there are some good imported coffee options. It’s quite a small café, so it can be hard to find a seat. However, with not many distractions, it’s an easy place to get some work done in the heart of Warsaw.

Café Bristol

Cafe, Polish, Coffee

Situated on the ground floor of the swanky and famous Hotel Bristol sits an exquisite café bearing the same name, Café Bristol. It is one of the best places to get some work done on Warsaw’s ‘Royal Mile’. The spacious coffee shop has fast Wi-Fi, sockets, decently sized tables and a great selection of coffees and cakes. It is well suited for business meetings but also has a quiet and warm ambience, making it ideal for the digital nomad to sit for a few hours working away on a laptop. Historically, the venue was once visited by celebrities such as the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Mark Knopfler.
