Zabrze is one of a number of cities that makes up Poland’s Silesian Metropolis, along with nearby Gliwice and Chorzów. The city is famous for its football team, Górnik Zabrze, who has won the Polish league more than 10 times and been in a European final. This is exactly the place to be to get some respite from city life and work. It is located halfway between Zabrze and neighbouring Gliwice. Zielony Ogród’s excellent restaurant serves up delightful Polish dishes such as pierogi (Polish dumplings) and bigos (hunter’s stew) with a wide range of hot drinks, cold drinks and alcoholic beverages.
