The Best International Cuisine In Amsterdam
Famous as one of the international centers of Europe, Amsterdam’s diversity is evident in its range of international restaurants. Here are some of the most popular.
Levant
Restaurant, Turkish
A canal-side Mediterranean restaurant, large and richly furnished, Levant enjoys a reputation for exemplary service and boasts one of the finest views in the city. Large French doors open out onto a spacious terrace, bordered with colorful flowers and vines. Within walking distance of the Museum Square, it is the perfect place to round off a day of sight-seeing. It’s best to call ahead for a table on the canal.

Moti Mahal
Restaurant, Indian, Asian, Vegetarian
Japanese Pancake World
This small but popular restaurant specializes in three kinds of Japanese pancake, or okonomiyaki.: first is Osaka-style, the most common style served with mayonnaise and sauce; second is Hiroshima-style, in which the pancake is thinner and includes cabbage, fried noodles, seaweed and egg; the third is Negi-yaki, or Scallion pancake – very similar to Hiroshima, but with spring onions instead of cabbage. Filled with all manner of ingredients, from chicken and seafood to fresh vegetables and cheese, these dishes are most commonly found in the Hiroshima and Kansai regions. Japanese Pancake World’s interior features an open kitchen in a modern setting, but with limited seating, so it’s always best (especially after 9) to call ahead for a table. Beautifully situated near the canal.
