Špunka

Špunka is a teeny-tiny bar with only a couple of tables, which has a great view of the Angel of Užupis statue. The beer choices are great and they serve a locally brewed favorite, Dundulis. Spunka is a good option for visitors seeking a short break over a beer while exploring the bohemian district of Uzupis.

Alaus Biblioteka

Alaus Biblioteka is an excellent beer bar with incredibly knowledgeable staff who will help you find a beer to your liking—there are even options for those who don’t typically like beer. Serving both locally brewed and imported beer, visitors are sure to find a new favorite or enjoy an old standby. The meat and cheese platter is also by far the best in the city.

Bambalynė

You need to walk down some stairs to enter Bambalynė, this automatically gives the bar an interesting vibe. This is certainly a place for beer lovers who are interested in trying Lithuania’s local brews. In the winter, the fire roaring in the fireplace makes the atmosphere even more cozy and relaxing. Bambalynė is a perfect bar for chatting with friends or catching up on a bit of work with a beverage on hand to help.

Šnekutis

Stop by this bar, restaurant, and brewery to taste some traditional Lithuanian specialties, such as cepelinai, and wash down with a cold, locally brewed beer. Visitors might want to keep an eye out for the owner, Snekutis, a true local personality.

Peronas

Visitors can watch the trains go by at Peronas—a perfect hipster hangout. Peronas frequently features DJs and live music. Dėvėti is a bar and gastropub serving tasty food and a good selection of drinks. On the menu, visitors will find falafel, bánh mì, sloppy joes, and other savory treats. They have more than 14 beers on tap and a whole host of bottled beers, as well as great food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Variokas

For a slightly different atmosphere, go to the steampunk bar Variokas. It has unique decor—think gears, copper, and floating ships, and its exposed brick walls, arched ceilings and passages give it a cool atmosphere. The location is also great, it’s just off Gedimino Avenue, the main shopping street in Vilnius.

Akivarai

A spinning cocktail wheel to determine what to order makes Akivarai a good option for a fun night out. Beer drinkers will be happy to hear that they have a decent selection of locally brewed and imported beers.
