The Best Breakfast And Brunch Spots On Lake Iseo, Italy

Jonathan Stern

An undiscovered beauty in Italy’s northern region of Lombardy, Lake Iseo offers no shortage of things to see and do. Luckily for travelers, there are also a few fantastic spots to sit back, relax and enjoy a morning meal near the lake before heading out to explore. Check out this list to discover where to start the day on the edge of this beautiful body of water.

Lake Iseo

Bar Centrale

Savor a sensational Italian cappuccino while taking in the views of Lake Iseo at Bar Centrale, located on the shore side in the town of Lovere. The outdoor terrace is comfortable, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a brioche, and the service is top notch. In all, breakfast on Lake Iseo does not get much better than at Bar Centrale.

Cafe Caprini

Expect a warm welcome at Cafe Caprini, where the coffee is to die for and the fresh fruit and vegetable juices are truly top-notch. The owners here certainly know how to brew up a great espresso, while the interior decor is stylish and relaxing. The real piece de resistance though? That gorgeous, sun-splashed al fresco deck out front, overlooking the cobbled back streets of pretty Lovere town.

Opera

Another spot where patrons can admire stunning views of Lake Iseo is Opera. Grab a seat on the outdoor terrace and start the day off right. In fact, this is the only breakfast spot in the town of Iseo that is directly next to the lakeside. The slow food philosophy is big here, meaning traditional and regional cuisine is emphasized.

Vittora Cafe is a unique spot in Iseo, where breakfast is king. On the menu, customers will find options that are not typical in Italy, such as scrambled eggs and bacon with toast. Not to be missed are the delicious muffins, which come in all sorts of flavors. Try a couple of them, each one seems to taste better than the last.

We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet.
