Tihany was created by God when he was happy, or so goes the saying among Hungarians. With its enchanting natural beauty, this peninsula will transport you far away from your everyday problems. The Abbey here is one of the oldest in Hungary. Since it attracts more people during the summer due to the vicinity of Lake Balaton, restaurants may have different opening times than usual in wintertime – it is worth making a call before heading out to one.
In the vicinity of the abbey of Tihany, this great cottage awaits its guests with individual apartments, each with its own entrance. These shelters were built from natural materials which reflect the folk-architecture style of the region. Moreover, the reception area looks like a village museum, surrounded by the three small apartments that resemble skansen buildings. With its thick stone walls, thatched roof and outdoor grill facility, and with several attractions nearby, this cottage is a perfect destination.
