Do you feel like buying an island? No, this is not a game of Monopoly. For a couple of years now, several Greek islands have been for sale on the Private Islands Online website. Whether you want to dream a bit or if you are a multimillionaire, here is a selection of six beautiful Greek islands that are currently on the market.

Saint Thomas – €15 million ($15.9 million, £12.8 million)

Location: Saronikos Gulf

Development: Non-developed

Size: 300 acres / 1.21 million square metres

Located in the Saronikos Gulf, St. Thomas is 20 minutes from Corinth and 45 minutes from Athens by water taxi. Part of the Diapori chain, the island is perfect for someone who wants to construct a luxury holiday house and simply live it up all summer long.

Northern Aegean Island – €35 million ($37 million, £29.8 million)

Location: Chora

Development: Non-developed

Size: 86 acres / 348,029 square metres

Located 30 minutes away from Athens by speedboat and 10 minutes by helicopter, this island is an ideal setting for a holiday house or a luxury resort. Apparently, several developers have shown interest, so if you are in love with this little gem, hurry and make an offer. One thing is for sure: you won’t have to share the beach with anyone else.

Vouvalos Island – Price Upon Request

Location: Amvrakikos Gulf

Development: Non-developed

Size: 31.63 acres / 128,002 square metres

A rocky private island set in the Amvrakikos Gulf in the northern part of Greece, Vouvalos is a verdant island with beautiful beaches. Because of its unusual shape, the island also includes a few natural harbours, as well as a picturesque lagoon in the centre of the island. It’s a dreamlike destination; although to purchase this one, you may have to dream a bit harder.

Tragonisi Island – Price Upon Request

Location: Saronikos Gulf

Development: Non-developed

Size: 90 acres / 364,217 square meters

Part of a trio of islands off the Peloponnese, Tragonisi Island is 45 minutes from Athens by boat. Very close to the little town of Korfos, Tragonisi boasts a sandy beach and lush vegetation. The island is perfect for the development of a hotel complex or a private villa. You could even recreate some scenes from Cast Away.

Kato Antikeri – Price Upon Request

Location: Cyclades

Development: Partially Developed

Size: 272 acres / 1.1 million square meters

Located in the Cyclades near Amorgos, Kato Antikeri is perfect for the development of a private residence. Earlier records show that the price was a whopping €45 million ($47.6 million, £38.3 million), but if you are interested, don’t be afraid to ask (and maybe bargain a little). Unlike neighbouring islands, Kato Antikeri’s terrain is flat, which makes it adequate for major construction projects. The island already has two harbours, electricity and telephone lines, plus it includes two houses and a little church. While you may not like the idea of having neighbours, the development of the island is partially complete.

Nissos Makri – Price Upon Request

Location: Ionian Sea

Development: Non-developed

Size: 245 acres / 991,500 square meters

Located in the Ionian Sea, Nissos Makri is part of the Echinades complex. Just like the other islands of the same group, this island boasts a lush vegetation and secluded coves. If you score this little gem, your next-door neighbours will be Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, and Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev.
