The Greek islands rank high among the top summer destinations in Europe. With beautiful landscapes and natural beauty, they feature a plethora of affordable housing available for sale at bargain prices. Here are 10 charming little houses for sale on the islands, at a ridiculous price.

Mavrata, Kefalonia – €60 000

Imagine yourself in your beautiful little cottage’s garden with views over the sea and the island of Zakynthos on a warm summer evening. Now open your eyes as this can all be true. Though small (37 square meters), this little cottage has been renovated in the last five years and has a double bedroom with patio doors to the rear garden. Sitting in a 126-square-meter property, the cottage has a small vegetable garden at the back. Perfect for a writer’s retreat, the property is located near the beautiful village or Mavrata, in Kefalonia.

Eresos, Lesbos – €50 000

Located at the edge of the village of Eresos in Lesbos (Mytilini), this two-story stone house may be a fixer-upper but it is definitely worth it.
