Superfans of the Marvel Universe will soon be able to check into accommodation inspired by their favorite superhero characters at Disneyland Paris. It’s been announced that the theme park’s Hotel New York will be getting a makeover, making it one of a growing number of attractions spawned by the comic books.

The ‘reimagination’ announcement was made by Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek in front of tens of thousands of comic book fans at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California.

‘We’re going to create a hotel at Disneyland Paris that would make Tony Stark proud,’ Chapek said. ‘I’m thrilled to announce that Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will transport our guests to the action-packed, inspiring world of Super Heroes including Iron Man, The Avengers, and Spider Man among others!’

It’s been rumored that the revamped building will be made to resemble Tony Stark’s Manhattan skyscraper and the distinctly New York-style interiors will most certainly pay homage to Iron Man, with displays of costumes, props, and original artwork from the Marvel films in the public spaces. The four-star hotel is expected to have 565 bedrooms when it opens at an undisclosed date in the near future.

While this is the world’s first Marvel Comics hotel, it is just one of a string of new Disney attractions that the Universe has inspired, such as the Iron Man Experience in Hong Kong and Guardians of the Galaxy rides in Orlando and California. Visitors to the latter will soon be able to enjoy Superman and Avengers amusements as well.

In other exciting Disney news, it was announced earlier in July that a Star Wars themed hotel – another first – will be opening at the Orlando theme park in 2019. Guests will be treated to a two-day interactive narrative event during their stay.

Back at Disneyland Paris, even more announcements on this scale are expected before the theme park’s 25th Anniversary Celebration is over. Stay tuned!
