Visiting Cannes? Naturally, you’ll want to look your best, whether you’re out spotting A-listers at the Cannes Film Festival or spending the afternoon sipping champagne overlooking the Vieux Port. We’ve put together a rundown of the finest clothes boutiques in Cannes – shopping doesn’t get better than this.
This Parisian brand started by specialising in silk dresses with bold prints back in 1968. Designers Jacques Leonard and Daniel Tribouillard created the garments using a revolutionary new printing press; they chose the orchid as their emblem because it was a delicate flower “without geometric limits”. Today, Leonard Paris is still known for its bold prints and silk jersey dresses which, it says, make every woman feel unique. Buy one of these iconic robes in their Cannes store on the Boulevard de la Croisette.
Source tailored essentials at Apostrophe-Georges Rech
Shop, Store
Drop into this boutique on the chic Rue d’Antibes, which merges two brands: Georges Rech, founded in Paris in 1960, and Apostrophe, which has created pret-à-porter clothes for women since 1968. Today, they sell a simple range of classic French pieces – think Breton stripes, silk shirts and long woollen coats – at a slightly more affordable price than other designer boutiques.
Head to Chacok for strong colours and rich fabric
Store
Unlike other boutique Cannes shopping outlets, Chacok started life on the Côte d’Azur, down the road in Juan-les-Pins. Founder Arlette Decock was a Parisian couturière who worked in film and theatre, before deciding to move south. She opened a store in Nice and then another in Paris. Bright patterns and designs that reject conformity characterise Decock’s brand, which has a reputation for long-lasting, quality garments.

Ermanno Scervino, for Italian design
Shop, Store
For the finest tailoring, head to Ermanno Scervino. The Italian brand was launched in Florence in 2000 by Ermanno Daelli, who founded it with entrepreneur Toni Scervino. They specialise in luxe couture with a fitted silhouette, and particularly in jackets and coats. Over time, they’ve branched into shoes, lingerie, perfume and even a children’s collection. You can find the Cannes outlet on La Croisette.
Buy clothing that will last from High Boutique Cannes
Shop
“Everyday couture” is the tagline of this brand as each garment is developed from its initial sketch to a complete prototype. The name High Boutique not only refers to the high-quality fabrics used, but also the high use they expect for each piece (they’re inspired by workwear, after all). Their Cannes boutique is just off La Croisette; drop in and buy something you’ll wear time and time again.
English writer in France. Swapped a hectic life in the city of London for an easy-going southern French vibe. I still work just as hard but on my own terms and on my own time. I enjoy travelling, writing, working, hanging out with friends and family... and of course meeting the amazing people and seeing the wonderful things this country has to offer. www.alexledsom.com
