Sandwiched between Val Thorens and Courchevel in Les Trois Vallées – the largest ski area in the world – Méribel has some of the best hotels around, perfect for your next ski holiday.

Heading to Méribel for your next ski trip? From chic mountain lodges and family-friendly accommodation to spa retreats and foodie havens, the area has plenty of great places to stay. Opposite the piste in Mottaret, this hotel has mountain views from all rooms, heated ski lockers and bags of Savoyard style. The rustic Table du Ruitor restaurant has a weekly Argentinian-themed evening, and a sommelier ensures you get proper food and wine pairings. The hotel is also home to the only spa in Mottaret – complete with sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath and treatment rooms.

Located on the piste at the top of Mottaret, this 45-room hotel offers good food, a pool and sauna alongside cheery staff. Families can book a triple, quadruple or interconnecting rooms, while junior suites have their own lounge and balcony facing the slopes. Hungry? Tuck into hearty burgers at L’Hermine, fine dining meals at Le Chamois and crêpes by the fire at the Lounge Bar.

Kick back after a day on the slopes by watching the sunset from your balcony, or jump in the outdoor hot tub. You can choose from B&B, half-board or all-inclusive. The recently revamped rooms feature quirky touches, such as feature walls and Smeg fridges, while the smart Marius restaurant serves Savoy specialities. This new, family-run pad is chic and welcoming. It has 55 rooms and suites, a spa and two restaurants – plus a prime position on the piste opposite the Rond-Pont hub at the top of the resort. The decor is stylish, with a vibrant colour scheme, modern furniture and sheepskin-covered bar stools. There’s also a boot room and yoga studio – hotels in Méribel aren’t only about skiing.

Slip into the outdoor hot tub and watch the sun set across the mountains at the Mérilys. With 28 rooms, it’s positioned on the edge of a pine forest but is within walking distance to the slopes.
