A commune in the South of France, Avignon is a great place to visit if you are looking for medieval type history. This town is absolutely amazing and well worth a visit. If you get hungry on your travels, be sure to check out some of these great restaurants and eateries. We present the top 10 restaurants in Avignon, France.

1. Le Petit Gourmand

If you are in the Avignon area, be sure to check out Le Petit Gourmand restaurant for its flavors and delectable dishes. Sample from the menu the pate foie gras starter with four pieces of various tasty French bread: it will make your mouth water. For the main, try the dried beef speciality which comes topped with parmesan cheese, a baked potato and melted cheese too, with a salad of vegetables.

O’Petitapetit

For a must visit restaurant, go to O’Petitapetit. The service is fantastic and the food is absolutely delectable at a reasonable price. Sample from the menu the salmon spinach lasagne for a filling main dish. Alternatively try the beef tartar with fried garlic potatoes and lettuce. These dishes will wake up your taste buds a treat.

Go to Christian Etienne for a special service and for great food. There is a historic ambiance in the restaurant due to the décor, and a combination of old and new will transport you to another world whilst you eat. Try from the menu the exceptional, delectable lobster and follow up with a cheese course at the end of your meal.

For good service and even greater quality food, be sure to visit Restaurant Des Teinuriers, Avignon. Start with the fois gras or the crab roll as both of these dishes are delectable. For the main, sample the veal or the ravioli which are absolutely delicious. Staff are very amiable and attentive as they serve you and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Fou de Fafa

The food at Fou de Fafa is magnificent, and the service as good as the food. Sample from the menu the gnocchi with calamari and chorizo, which is absolutely delicious. The décor at this simple, family eatery perfectly compliments the feel, with charming artwork and vases full of fairy lights festooning the walls and tables.
