Kanalen is situated in an old house, once used as the customs office in Christianshavn district. Located in an old historic building at Nyhavn harbor, Nyhavns Faergekro is a cozy restaurant with a maritime décor. Miniature ships are hanging from the ceiling and the walls are decorated with maritime paintings. The restaurant is known for its extensive herring buffet, offering more than 10 homemade herring dishes. Try crown herring, sol over gudhjem or drømmesild herring, served with potatoes and rye bread. If you wish to try a traditional Danish dinner, ask for daily Færgekro dinner.
Viva is a restaurant located on a ship, docked near the Langebro Bridge. The restaurant offers a simple and modern atmosphere and stunning views on the city through its many rounded windows. Sushi Lovers is a trendy sushi joint located in the north of the Copenhagen’s city center. The restaurant focuses on taste and creativity, offering a special sushi experience. Sushi Lovers participated twice in the Sushi World Cup in Tokyo, only just missing the top three spots in the creative sushi section. Havfruen means mermaid, which is the restaurant’s symbol and you can see a golden mermaid statue above the entrance.
