The Freedom Cafe has great food for an outstanding price. They serve baked goods all day, but be sure to check out their unbeatable breakfasts of pancakes, eggs, bacon and plenty more. Charleston

Come to this pub hungry because Charleston promises to give any customer a truly satisfying meal. Their menu is full of traditional German and Czech dishes, like the popular Wiener schnitzel, roast pork knee or the grilled duck. It is centrally located, right across from the Karlovy Vary spas, making it an ideal stop-off during a sightseeing tour of the town. This one fills up fast and often hosts a lively crowd of locals to boot.

Promenada makes up for being rather pricey with a truly decadent experience. It is the perfect spot for a romantic evening, with the soft lighting and intimate atmosphere combining together. Their daily menu offers delicacies such as stuffed quail, venison, duck and rabbit served with an unique Promenáda twist. They offer an impressive assortment of wines from all over the world too, along with some labels from locally grown vineyards. What’s more, this one has been voted the best restaurant in Karlovy Vary and one of the top restaurants in all of Czech Republic by TOP 100.

Tandoor

Tucked away, this authentic Indian restaurant is a hidden gem of Karlovy Vary (hidden being the operative word, since it is located in a back street that can be tricky to find). Tandoor offers many delicious and classic favorites, like paratha, chicken curry, tikka masala, and the unmissable vindaloo. Locals love this place and the owner is nearly always there to offer a smile.

Orion

When the urge to escape the tourist droves hits, Orion is the place to go. It is located off-the-beaten-track, past the Magdalene Church, and is a veritable favorite with the locals. It has a traditional home-style Czech menu filled with many game and poultry dishes. They have lots of great beer on draft and the owners are happy to recommend the best. Come to Orion for a relaxing night with great drinks, food and company.

Vertigo CAFE-PIZZA-WINE

Believe it or not, there is much more to Vertigo CAFE-PIZZA-WINE than coffee and pizza and wine (though their coffee, pizza and wine are exceptional!). A great place to sit-back with friends and enjoy a simple but delicious meal, this restaurant is located just outside the center of town and handy for public transport. Each pizza is freshly made in Vertigo’s stone oven that enhances all the delicious flavor, while there are also oodles of salad and pasta options on the al la carte.

Mozzarella Pizza

Le Marche

They do things differently at Le Marche. Each day the chef creates a new menu with two or three mouthwatering appetizers, two choices of delicious main courses and a few dessert options. You could visit five days in a row and have a completely new experience each time. Chef Jan Krajč brings a piece of France to this Bohemian Spa town and strives to use the freshest ingredients around. There are no walk-ins at Le Marche, so be sure to make a reservation.

Panoptikum

There are a great many things to love about Panoptikum. For one, it is the perfect balance of homey atmosphere, comfort food and thirst-quenching beer; the perfect pub for a night out with friends and family. What’s more, the food comes in great big portions, so no one ever leaves hungry, while the duck dishes reign supreme in Karlovy Vary. The inside of the pub displays fascinating historic pictures that just begin to hint at the long history of the town and country, making for an atmosphere that is always lively, local and cultural.
