Tuzla, Bosnia’s third largest city, doesn’t get the attention it deserves as a tourist destination. The former salt-mining region has an attractive old town, two uniquely-designed mosques, and three artificial lakes. Wizz Air has started to use Tuzla as its hub for budget flights in and out of Bosnia, giving tourists the chance to visit. Here are some of the best places to stay during your trip to Tuzla.

Before we start, it’s important to address two points about finding a place to stay in Tuzla. The first involves price changes based on different seasons. While this is common in cities around the world, the price difference in Tuzla is more apparent and not necessarily based on demand. Secondly, compared to other parts of Bosnia such as Sarajevo and Mostar, hotel prices tend to be more expensive.
