As the name might suggest, this spot is mainly a wine bar but also offers a selection of beers and other soft drinks. The bar is on the opposite side of the river to most of the other bars and restaurants, which makes it quieter and ideal for those looking for an option further off the beaten track.

Caffe Marshall

One of the few Mostar joints that is open all night and all year round, Caffe Marshall is set within a small historic building built in a traditional stone style. There are a few tables on the cobbled street out at the front of the bar, while inside the bar is small but with a good atmosphere thanks to dim lighting and traditional furnishings. A great option for a traditional bar experience.

Ljetna Bašta Oskar is a fashionable bar and shisha venue, popular with younger crowds and backpackers. The bar features a large outdoor seating area with plenty of comfortable cushions and sofas, as well as some covered areas under traditional wooden pergolas. The menu includes cocktails as well as a good number of different shisha flavors. There’s also a selection of light bar snacks.

Inside a historic old mill is Black Dog Pub, offering a selection of home brews and craft beers. There are regular live music (events are on their Facebook page), and the place can get very busy in the evenings, so it’s recommended that you turn up early, especially if you want to grab a table overlooking the river. It is popular with tourists but still has an authentic vibe, partly thanks to its location on a quiet cobbled side street away from the main crowds. Take cash; it doesn’t take cards.
