Twice every year the largest vintage market in Europe takes over the old navy station at Tour & Taxis, to the joy of many a collector. A hundred booths will be displaying retro furniture, clothing and items from the 1950s up to the 1980s in the congenial atmosphere of your regular Sunday flea market, with the important difference that this particular flea market time and again proves to be an extraordinary treasure trove of rare finds. Collectors and dealers get their shot at the goodies first on Saturday – also known as ‘professionals day’ – but the amateur vintage fan will still be delighted at the beautiful pieces such as the Eames chairs still up for grabs at a reasonable price on Sunday.
