This Map Shows the Most Common Words on Every Country's Wikipedia Page

We all love a good map. That’s why another awesome one has been created to show the most common words on every country’s Wikipedia page.

The wonderful, colourful piece of cartography was created on social networking site Reddit – and yes, it did appear on the iconic MapPorn subreddit.

The lovely little thing excludes any words such as ‘the’, ‘country’, ‘government’ and demonyms, but what is quite interesting, is that for places like the UK, Turkey and Russia, it seems what Wiki users are obsessed with most is their nation’s imperial past – or it could just be masses of students using the website for their homework (we’ll take a punt on that).
