From the beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean to the lush countryside of Tuscany, Europe is full of diverse landscapes, rich cultures, and delicious cuisine. Explore the iconic landmarks of Athens or Naples, soak up the sun on the stunning Greek islands or indulge in the vibrant nightlife of Seville. Here are some of Culture Trip’s favourite destinations for this summer.

Our friends in the Southern Hemisphere will experience summer towards the end of the year, and don’t worry we’ve got plenty fo you coming up, but here’s a rundown of some of our favourite sunny trips to experience this year.

Crowd-free Coastal Italy

A Diego Maradona mural in Naples

Feast on the some of the best street food in Italy on our summer trip to a quieter part of the country. Now, admittedly all things are comparative and we’re not saying the Italian seafront close to the Amalfi Coast is ever going to be entirely serene, but with Naples and the lesser-known islands of Ischia and Procida, there will be (slightly) calmer aura. You can take a condensed trip here right at the start of the summer or at the tail-end of the season in early September. You could go earlier, but expect the greatest party of all-time as the Naples football team are about to win some of the biggest prizes in the game.
