Majestic Turkey
Turkey has a vast stretch of Mediterranean coastline but this 12-day epic, which takes in the very best of this continent-crossing nation, takes a little while to reach it. We’ll start in Istanbul – which for centuries has stood as a crucial passage point from Asia to the Med, with the city-splitting Bosphorus Strait leading to the Sea of Marmara, which itself breaks through into the Mediterranean. You’ll get a thorough, local-led tour of this historic metropolis before heading inland to the capital, Ankara, the surreal rock formations and hot-air balloons of Cappadocia, as well as Turkey’s various landlocked ancient wonders. Eventually we’ll reach Antalya to end the trip in style, enjoying the glorious sunshine glowing onto the Turkish Riviera’s golden beaches.
