Greek Island Odyssey

Why should you have to choose between the historical and cultural texture of Athens and the laid-back lifestyle of the Greek islands? We’ve packaged the two together on this island-hopping adventure, starting in the capital. You’ll get to visit the iconic Acropolis, as well as discover the vibrant neighbourhood of Keramikos, before setting sail for the Cyclades. We’ll visit two heavily underrated islands in Milos and Naxos – expect pristine beaches without the crowds, hillside excursions through olive groves and hidden caves reached only by boat – before rounding off our trip in glorious Santorini. There’s nowhere better to experience pure Mediterranean bliss, as we watch the sun go down, cocktail in hand, over the island’s famous whitewashed buildings.

Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands by Train

Many people come to Scotland without ever leaving Edinburgh – and we do love the capital’s charming gothic streets – but to not explore the country’s ruggedly handsome landscapes is a crime, especially when it’s so easy to do with Culture Trip. Our seven-day Rail Trip actually starts in London, where we’ll catch the Caledonian Sleeper train to Fort William – an experience in itself. We’ll toast our arrival with a customary whisky tasting at a local distillery before taking our next iconic train trip, this time on the Jacobite steam train. Immortalised as the Hogwarts Express, this gorgeous old locomotive chugs through Scotland’s verdant green valleys in style, taking us towards the Isle of Skye. We’ll go on a boat trip in the Hebrides, head up for hiking in Cairngorms National Park and visit artsy Inverness before finally reaching the famous gothic capital.

Coastal Croatia

If incredible coastlines are what you’re after then don’t forget Croatia, and our eight-day island-hopping adventure along the Dalmatian Coast. We’ll start with old town exploring and spectacular star-gazing in Split, before hopping on a boat to the old military island of Vis. You’ll learn about its fascinating history but also have plenty of time to enjoy the island’s wild beaches and little islets, including the otherworldly Blue Cave, which you can snorkel in. From there it’s onto the gorgeous island of Korcula, where you’ll explore forests and medieval villages, as well as go wine tasting in Lumbarda. Finally it’s back to the mainland with oyster-tasting in Ston and a comprehensive guided tour of Dubrovnik, one of the world’s most stunning medieval cities.

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
