Even the quietest souls want to let off some steam at some point, and there are plenty of opportunities to do so in Nicaragua. Here are some of the top party hostels in the country for you to enjoy.

1. Big Foot

Famous for the sand-boarding tours to nearby Cerro Negro, this hostel is also known for its wild parties. Plus, Leon is a beautiful city to wander around in the daytime as you battle your hangover.

2. Pachamama

Close to the beach in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua’s premier seaside town, this hostel is part of the legendary Sunday Funday party. If you’re looking for a good time, this is the place to be.

3. Latina Hostel

With cheap dorms, group activities and a big outdoor bar, Latina Hostel is a great spot for those on the hunt for fun. It’s better for a daytime session than a late night, but the atmosphere really is spot on. Perfect for solo travelers.

4. Gigante Bay

Surfers looking to ride the waves at Playa Gigante should check in here for post-surfing fun. It’s a slice of beach paradise and well-located for all of the local amenities in Tola.

5. Naked Tiger

Another hostel that is a major reason for San Juan del Sur’s reputation for debauchery, Naked Tiger is a firm favourite on the backpacker trail. Rooms are set in a Mediterranean-style villa that offers great views over the town.
