After a long day of sightseeing in Can Tho, it will be nice to sit down at a cafe and enjoy a good cup of tea, a fruit drink, and strong WiFi, while updating your social media. Here are our favorite venues to kick back and spend a few hours in peace and quiet.

Café English

Cafe, Restaurant, American, European, Vietnamese, Coffee

Café English is run by an Australian husband and wife duo, Russell and Ann. The staff has made a point of speaking English all the time, so this café has become a hub for locals to come and practice the language. The menu is also wonderful and in addition to great coffee, you will find many Western items such as sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, fries, and burgers. You can even get a glass of white wine for 40,000 VND (2 USD). The TV channels almost always feature sports, and there are live music nights every Saturday.

A great riverside café to kick back with friends and relax. There is outdoor seating in a garden among lots of greenery, where you can admire the view of the Can Tho Bridge in all its glory. The coffee here smells divine (many TripAdvisor reviews have noted this), and the taste is even better. If coffee is not your thing, check out the juices, made with the freshest ingredients from the Delta. The spot is central, so after a relaxing drink, you can head off for a lazy stroll around the area. Live music happens on some evenings.

Book Café PNC

Cafe, Vietnamese

Book Café PNC is located on the third floor of a tall bookstore. It is a part of a book cafe chain that has locations throughout the country. Inside, you will find a spacious venue, full of books and little nooks to enjoy some reading or work, without being disturbed by anyone. Even the music is mellow. There are plenty of books you can read freely, but unfortunately, most are in Vietnamese. It’s better to bring your own, so you can easily spend your day spread comfortably on a couch. Even napping is accepted. Make sure to leave your shoes outside.

GONY Spa & Cafe Lounge

Cafe, Restaurant with Rooms, Restaurant, Vietnamese, American, European

GONY Spa & Cafe Lounge is an odd mix of a restaurant, café, bar, lounge, and spa. It’s a modern venue, decorated in a way that is easy on the eyes. There are even lazy bean bag chairs for you to lounge about on, and to top it off, they have shisha. The menu is full of Vietnamese delicacies and Western food such as pizza, spaghetti, steak, and the like, and everything is extremely affordable. For drinks, you can opt for coffee, tea, smoothies, and alcoholic beverages. Choose between indoor or outdoor seating, or even private rooms if you’re thinking of heading there with a large group. Open 24 hours.

Zest Coffee

Cafe, Restaurant, Vietnamese

Zest Coffee is a great place to stop by and enjoy a fruit or a zesty coffee drink and a meal in a nice location. The seating area is huge, so you will always be able to find a spot to chill out in. Coffee drinks are as cheap as 15,000 VND (0.60 USD), and the menu has Vietnamese items like noodle soup dishes, and interactive wrap & roll meals. The friendly staff will teach you how to eat these if you have no idea. A great way to start your day!
