We love everything about mì quảng. For our money, it is the perfect Vietnamese dish, with its thick noodles, rice cracker, herbs and, best of all, its deliciously flavored broth. Whether you’re curious to try some or craving it right now, here are the best spots in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mì Quảng Phố Hội

Restaurant, Vietnamese

Mì Quảng Phố Hội is the complete package. They have great food, friendly service and inviting decor — and they’re also located in the heart of District 7, which is one of the coolest areas in the city. Even if you need to make a trip out of the city center to visit this spot, you’ll be glad you did.

Mì Quảng 85

Restaurant, Vietnamese

When it comes to presentation, Mì Quảng 85 serves up bowls that are as much a feast for the eyes as they are for the stomach. With huge chunks of rice crackers, fresh herbs and a brilliant red shrimp, you almost overlook the noodles and broth. We love the canal area between District 3 and Phú Nhuận, and a nice bowl of mì quảng makes it even better.

Mì Quảng Mỹ Sơn

Restaurant, Vietnamese

Mì Quảng Mỹ Sơn is a franchise of restaurants with several locations throughout the city, but the Phan Xích Long location is likely the most popular in the city. We eat here all the time and are never disappointed. And if the heat outside is driving you mad, their indoor seating will keep you cool as you enjoy a wonderful meal.

Mì Quảng Sâm

Restaurant, Vietnamese

This busy spot is famous for their mì quảng and have even been featured on the news several times. Mì Quảng Sâm is an excellent example of traditional Vietnamese dining: simple, efficient service, with excellent food. You’ll easily understand why they have so many repeat customers. And if you’re new to the city, a visit to this restaurant will show you a side of the city that many tourists miss out on.

Mì Quảng 3 Anh Em

Restaurant, Vietnamese

If you’re in District 1 and looking for some nearby mì quảng, then check out Mì Quảng 3 Anh Em. They’re right off Hàm Nghi, practically in the shadow of the Bitexco Tower, but it’s not just their amazing location that brings in their hungry customers. They also serve hearty bowls of noodles with all your favorite meats.

Home kitchen Xứ Quảng

Restaurant, Vietnamese

You’ll love the decor in this quiet little restaurant, which is ideally located on busy Hai Bà Trưng Street. It’s popular among the office worker crowd in the area, and makes for a great spot to bring clients or colleagues. Though it’s a bit pricier, you’re paying for quality, ambience and the total dining experience.

Quán Mì Quảng Ngon

Restaurant, Vietnamese

Here’s a no-nonsense kind of dining experience. They don’t have any superfluous decorations or other kinds of distractions. They simply make delicious mì quảng. Sometimes, you just want to sit and enjoy a tasty bowl of healthy noodles for a great price, and that’s why Quán Mì Quảng Ngon is one of the best spots in the city.

Mi Quang Dac San Mien Trung

Restaurant, Vietnamese

The broth at this mì quảng spot is so tasty that you’ll find yourself scooping out every last drop, and the noodles are the perfect texture. Add in some lime, herbs and a big hunk of rice cracker and you have a perfect meal. If you have trouble finding this restaurant, it’s across the street from where Hẻm 76 meets Quốc Hương. Also, it’s best to go here earlier, ideally before lunch.

Mì Quảng Ngon Phố Thị

Restaurant, Vietnamese

You can’t miss their sign, with its giant bowl — and you also can’t miss the lunchtime crowds that flock here every day. A bowl of mì quảng is the perfect way to recharge your energy before a busy afternoon. And if you have friends or colleagues who’d prefer something else, they have other options as well. But why eat anything else when their mì quảng is so darn good?

Mì Quảng Ăn Là Ghiền

Restaurant, Vietnamese

Some places hold back on the best ingredients in mì quảng, but not at Mì Quảng Ăn Là Ghiền. The bowls here are filled with noodles, quality meats and enough peanuts to make any mì quảng lover happy. And if you’re not in the Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai area, check out on their other three locations.
