We all remember how fun it was using rope swings when we were younger. Well, now there’s a grown-up version that’s not for the faint-hearted. If you can keep your wits about you, maybe you’d like to swing through a hollow mountain?

Where exactly is the Hollow Mountain Emperor Swing?

The mountain in question is in Thailand and offers those brave enough an unforgettable bungee swing through a breathtaking cave, capturing some life-affirming sights as you soar through the air. Hollow Mountain is a tropical jungle mountain in the region of Pang Ga that offers incredible landscape views.

How to get to the Hollow Mountain Emperor Swing

A 10-minute drive from Ao Nang and Krabi Town, the Hollow Mountain Extreme Adventure Park begins with a hike down a jungle trail. This takes you to the base of the mountain. A Via Ferrata is a protected climbing route, and you’ll use this steel staircase to climb up to the main cave itself. Once there, you’ll be able to jump off of the platform.

What happens just before you jump the Hollow Mountain Emperor Swing?

Topped with green trees as far as the eye can see, the grey and white cave (almost slate-like in appearance) is where you’ll take the plunge. There’s nothing below you but greenery and a very steep drop to the ground, but you won’t care because you’ll be too exhilarated from the experience – that is, if you can keep your eyes open!

Thrill-seekers take it in turns to leap off from a platform 55m (180ft) above ground before swinging through the rock’s opening (just like Spider-Man), where you’ll be greeted with spectacular views of Krabi’s lush forests and landscape.

With tour guides in operation, you can be sure that your safety is of paramount importance. The guides are all very knowledgeable and will walk you through all of the safety procedures in order for you to really enjoy your experience to the fullest. You can even take selfie-sticks with you on your jump to capture the exact moment you cry tears of ecstatic fun.

For the ultimate adrenaline rush, you can do a lot worse than visit the home of the biggest rope swing in South East Asia.
