Gardens are hard to come by in the capital of Thailand. However, luckily for beer connoisseurs, there are a handful of beer gardens in Bangkok with great outdoor seating, cool atmospheres, and, last but not least, extensive menus featuring the best brews. Here are the best beer gardens in the city.

BAR9 Beer Garden is an oasis away from the bustling city of Bangkok. Found some nine floors above the energetic Sukhumvit Road, this beer garden is not only equipped with a great atmosphere but also some pretty spectacular views given its prime location. The beer garden makes its home at the Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam, one of the most lavish hotels in the city. In addition to great views, BAR9 Beer Garden hosts live music every Tuesday through Sunday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. This beer garden is keeping visitors on their toes with their specials as well. For example, it has booze bags for only ฿200, which are unique (and large) cocktails meant to mix up the usual cocktail scene. With drinks named “Poison” and “Deathless,” these libations are sure to entice all those who visit.

Dee Lounge and Beer Garden

Found just a stone’s throw away from the BTS Skytrain station Phloen Chit is the Dee Lounge and Beer Garden. Visitors will likely hear the live music playing before they lay eyes on the beer garden. Found outside the luxurious Novotel in the heart of Bangkok, this destination is keeping it hip by welcoming great performers and bands almost every night. The staff is extremely welcoming and accommodating, at the ready with an extensive menu for venue-goers to browse through. The most notable aspect of the beer garden is the seating. The outdoor space gives the place an overall laid-back vibe, with enough comfortable seating to accommodate even the largest of parties. Happy hour is every day from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. when visitors can enjoy ฿190 draught beer. In addition to happy hour, it has an extensive menu of local and international beers and a delicious menu serving up Thai, Western, and even Indian cuisine for those beer drinkers who work up an appetite.

Baan Rai Coffee is serving up so much more than a cup of joe. Locals and tourists alike gather at this relaxed outdoor eatery to enjoy its cool atmosphere in addition to its selection of local and refreshing beers, perfect for those who need to cool off in the city. There are plenty of wooden tables and chairs to accommodate large parties. The beer garden sits just steps from the BTS Skytrain station Ekkamai, making it a perfect jumping-off point for a night out in the City of Angels. The restaurant literally never closes, so feel free to stay as long as you please at this laid-back, outdoor beer garden in the heart of the city.

Though less luxurious than the other beer gardens on this list, Soi 7 Beer Garden is certainly one of the most popular of them all. The beer garden actually sits within a barn of sorts, found in the heart of downtown Bangkok near the BTS Skytrain station Nana. It features a large, rectangular bar, making it easy for beer drinkers to hop up and grab another bottle when they please, regardless of where they are sitting. Overall, it’s a perfect locale for those looking for a relaxed atmosphere in which to grab a beer, and in addition to beer, visitors will find plenty of delicious Thai dishes at affordable prices.
