Singapore’s 52nd birthday falls this August and if you haven’t secured your tickets for the biggest bash yet, fret not! We’ve scoured the island for a slew of events that will make appeal to foodies, revellers and the curious.

DESIGN | PIECE OF PEACE WORLD TOUR 2017

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN, Singapore will be the first ASEAN country to host this UNESCO World Heritage Art Exhibition. The highlight of the exhibition is the LOVE EARTH, LOVE ASIA; and LOVE ASEAN, which will feature intricate LEGO replicas of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

ARTS | M1 PEER PLEASURE YOUTH THEATRE FESTIVAL

📅 Saturday, 22nd July 2017 – Saturday, 5th August 2017

As Singapore’s only annual showcase for youth theatre in Singapore, M1 Peer Pleasure Youth Theatre Festival provides opportunities for nurturing younger people to be theatre markers of the future. Themed “The Other”, highlights of the festival includes a commission titled “Without Reason”, written by emerging youth playwright Sim Yan Ying, which highlights the negotiating interracial relationships and identities in modern day Singapore, a Triple Bill (titles include Nonsense, The Box and How Did I Mess Up This Bad: An Analysis) as well as an M1 Theatre Ninja Programme -a mentorship programme that brings to life the magic that happens behind the scenes.

FESTIVAL | Singapore Coffee Festival

📅 Friday, August 4th – Sunday, August 6th

The inaugural Singapore Coffee Festival is back, with more than 80 exhibitors showcasing premium brews and artisanal products. Held at the seaside of Marina Bay Cruise Center, festival goers can enjoy the sea breeze and check out caffeinated workshops, live art performances and aeropress championships happening throughout the three days.

Tickets: $22 per session -Festival is broken up into two sessions: Brunch (10am – 3:30pm) and Sun-down (4:30pm to 10:00pm).

MUSIC | Sundown Festival 2017

A unique annual event in Singapore that celebrates Asian music and culture, Sundown Festival is back this year at a spanking new venue, promising the hottest local acts like Derrick Koh, Jack & Rai, The Summer State and Farrago.

FESTIVAL | Singapore Drum Fest

WORLD | NAT GEO Live: Celebrating the End of Food Waste
