There’s a plethora of places to go in Singapore for an unbeatable photo of the sun setting. Here are our highlights of where you can witness the spectacular sunset while sipping cocktails, enjoying the night breeze, or simply standing in awe of the panoramic view of the city.

Swissôtel City Space Bar

Visit the Swissôtel City Space Bar where you can have a well-deserved drink and enjoy the amazing view of the city below. The bar boasts being on The Sunday Times’list of the ‘Best 50 Bars’. It’s a great venue for a special occasion, with talented vocalists and a pianist to liven up the mood as you soak up the atmosphere.

Meritus Club Lounge

Meritus Club Lounge at the Mandarin Orchard is another go-to lounge with a view. This place has an excellent gourmet menu and great cocktail selection, all set in plush surroundings. Bring along an extra SD card to ensure that your camera has enough space to capture photos of both the day views and night views. The evenings are particularly electric as the city really comes to life.

Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge

Located on the 32nd floor is the Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, which boasts breathtaking views. With Champagne brunches, cocktails, and chocolate afternoon teas, you can drop by at any time of the day to enjoy a different perspective from this stellar lounge. There is even a space called The Drawing Room where you can literally sketch the panoramic view down below. Easel stands, paper and pencils are conveniently provided.

Pinnacle at Duxton

Want a view of Singapore but wish to save money on cocktails? Then give the Pinnacle a try. It is recommended to go during off-peak times so as to avoid the weekend crowds. There is a maximum number of 200 non-residential people who can visit the rooftop garden per day. A $5 fee will be charged upon entry for which you can use your EZ-Link or Cepas card to pay. Visit the self-service kiosk machine to pay for the entry on Blk 1G Basement level. Enter on the 50th floor and walk about or even lounge on seats provided while taking in the gorgeous skyline.

Esplanade Rooftop

If you wish to take your sunset photos for free, the Esplanade rooftop is a good choice. Located in a central place, it is a must-visit for every photo enthusiast. Book a spot early, as it can get crowded, especially during the weekends as there is a bar located there as well.

Helix Bridge

This is the place for enjoying the breathtaking skyline and soaking in the atmosphere of the Singapore River. It is also a favorite spot for photographers to capture fireworks during the annual National Day Parade when it is held at the nearby Floating Platform. This bridge is beautifully structured, and lights adorn it as evening approaches. Watch as the sky turns from crimson to inky blue with the backdrop of the sky contrasting beautifully with the cityscape.

Marina Bay Sands Skypark

The Marina Bay Sands Skypark is a popular place to check out the skyline. You can soak in the pool and even enjoy the Jacuzzi while you look out at the sunset. People come here to see and be seen. Take photos wearing your favorite swimwear in the famous infinity pool while enjoying the spectacular sunset. If you simply wish to enjoy the view, you can purchase tickets for $23 from the Marina Bay Sands website.
