1. Bridge Coffee & Ice Cream

Bridge Coffee is a favorite local coffee shop near Kappabashi-dori, also known as Tokyo’s Kitchen Town. The name comes from the bashi of Kappabashi, meaning bridge. The building and interior are designed by the architectural firm located in the same building and the design is one of the cafe’s main draws. Coffee here is supplied by the roasters at Little Nap Coffee Stand.

2. Sekai Cafe

Located in Asakusa, Sekai Café is a small, cozy but modern café. They focus on their menu and making sure it sets them apart from their competitors. They offer halal, vegan and vegetarian options and list the ingredients in many of their dishes.

3. Cafe Bach

The interior of Cafe Bach looks a little like you would expect it to with a name like that. It gives off an antique feel with its dark wood furniture and brown leather chairs. This is one of the few places in Tokyo you can immerse yourself in Bach’s classical music while sipping your afternoon coffee.

4. Kayaba Coffee

Kayaba Coffee is located in an old wooden house over one hundred years old. For an antique home, the interior is surprisingly bright and cozy. Grab a cup of coffee and a light lunch before heading over to nearby Yanaka Ginza, the famous historic shopping street.

5. Fujita Cafe

Find Fujita Cafe in the winding streets of the historic Asakusa District south of Senso-ji. This is a small, friendly cafe serving light meals and delicious coffee.

6. Nui Hostel Cafe & Bar

Nui Hostel is located in Asakusa alongside the Sumida River. The stylish, casual café on the ground floor is a popular spot for coffee, not only with the hostel guests but with locals as well. At night, it transforms into a happening bar and evening hangout. Coffee here is provided by the roasters at Onibus.
