Jasmino
Food Kiosk, Israeli
Find some of the city’s best meat-filled pitas at this hole-in-the-wall restaurant opposite the Great Synagogue on Allenby Street. There are four options: chicken, kebab, spicy sausage and veal heart, in addition to specials like veal brain. Served with chopped salad, grilled onions and spicy peppers, and topped off with a drizzle of tehina and amba (a spicy mango-based condiment), the food is bursting with flavour. Be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes in line.
America Burgers
Bar, Diner, North American
Opened in 2015, this unassuming restaurant with a grungy exterior has fast established itself as one of the best hamburger joints in Tel Aviv. A great place for a sit-down meal with friends, it offers a small menu of six different types of burger, including a vegetarian option and a fried chicken pattie. It has a good selection of cocktails and is the perfect spot for a fun, late-night meal in the heart of Tel Aviv.
Susu and Sons
Restaurant, North American
This burger joint has taken Tel Aviv by storm. Its high-quality, gourmet patties are cooked to perfection and have the ideal amount of juiciness without being overly greasy. If you are feeling adventurous, add some lobster or blue cheese to your burger and order the cheesy mashed potato balls as a side dish. Bear in mind that this is a small kiosk and the lines can get very long at peak hours.
Sabba & 300 Rabbits
Pizzeria, Italian
For gourmet pizza in the Rothschild area after a night out, this trendy new pizzeria is the place to go. Owned by Omer Miller, the man behind Susu & Sons, it has an array of interesting toppings, from osso buco (cross-cut veal shanks braised with vegetables, white wine and broth) to pasta, and its vegan pizza offering is equally tasty. Customise your pizza according to taste or go with one of its recommendations. Be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes for the food to arrive during busy hours.
Tony Vespa
Pizzeria, Italian
One of the best late-night food spots in Tel Aviv with several chains, this pizzeria has been a saviour for countless hungry Tel Avivians. Its pizzas are made fresh and there’s a good selection of toppings to choose from. Whether it’s a classic margherita you’re craving or a vegan pie, Tony Vespa has plenty of options for everyone.

Benedict
Restaurant, North American
Since finding its niche of 24/7 gourmet brunch, Benedict has become one of Tel Aviv’s most well-known restaurants. Located on the bustling intersection of Allenby Street and Rothschild, it is always crammed with locals and tourists alike. The menu is large and calorie heavy, so if it’s 4am and you’re craving a sweet, decadent pancake or a huge Philly cheesesteak, this one is the perfect spot to visit.
