This warm and welcoming café is housed in a beautiful Ottoman-era stone building and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Al Mihbash is a gathering place for Palestinians and tourists alike, making it the ideal place from which to begin a foray into the life and culture of East Jerusalem. Enjoy a selection of hookahs at very affordable prices and sample some of the delicious Palestinian dishes on offer, from kebabs to mujaddara (lentil rice). On Friday nights there are live oud (lute) performances, making Al Mihbash the perfect place for those who want the full Middle Eastern shisha experience.

Popular among locals, the Coffee Bean is located in the front yard of the upscale Legacy Hotel in East Jerusalem, not far from the Damascus Gate and all the main tourist attractions in the Old City. The café features large flat-screen televisions and a wide selection of hookah flavours including lemon-mint, apple, blueberry, watermelon-mint and bubblegum, in addition to an outdoor patio. Keep in mind that the Coffee Bean is often busy, as locals go there to celebrate birthdays and other special events. The café also serves light meals and desserts, such as apple pie, and is open from 10am to 11pm each day.
