When traveling around the world, we collect memories. Some of us may even go the extra mile and get a souvenir that lasts a lifetime—a tattoo. Whether you’ve already decided to get inked or you’re still in doubt, one thing is certain, you’ll need to carry out a bit of research if you want the work to be done well. Here are five best tattoo studios in Tel Aviv.

1. Psycho Tattoo

Psycho Tattoo and piercing studio was established in 1993 by Avi Vanunu. Vanunu started tattooing back in 1991, and over the years became one of Israel’s leading tattoo artists. Also tattooing at Psycho is a crew of three experienced artists, including Lior Magen, Guri Kretch and Gilad Meyer.

Snir Rozensal, the owner of Vision Tattoos, launched his studio in 1998. Tattooing is a way of life for Rozensal, just like any other art. He specializes in all tattoo styles and is most famous for his oriental artwork, but the main specialization of his studio is custom designs. Also working in the studio with Snir is a crew of three professional tattooists, among them senior tattoo artist Boris Irisov, tattooing since 2006, who prefers working in the Neo-Traditional style. Ronit Rozensal has been tattooing since 2009 and is most known for her oriental and old-school tattoo work. Vision studio often hosts influential tattoo artists from around the globe.

3. Kipod Tattoo

Store

An established tattoo and piercing studio that was founded in 2005, Kipod is home to several professional tattooists and piercers, each one of them specializing in different tattoo styles. Among them is leading tattoo artist Michael Kozlenko, who has over 20 years of experience as a tattoo artist. Kozlenko has participated in a lot of international tattoo conventions, and specializes in tattoo cover-ups. He particularly loves tattooing bio mechanic, neo-traditional and oriental styles.

4. Sonia Tattoo Lady

Store

Although Sonia has only been tattooing for a few years, she’s already one of the busiest tattoo artists in Tel Aviv. Sonia says she has been sketching ever since she can remember, and dreamed for a long time of turning her artwork into something that remains on people’s bodies for life. Working from a private studio, Sonia’s tattoos are mainly old school style, and she’s stated that nowadays most of her tattoo works are her own personal drawings.

5. InkDonkey

Store

Tattooist Alexey Zamotevsky, the owner of InkDonkey, launched the studio a few years ago after working in the tattoo business for 13 years. The InkDonkey crew combines several professional and talented tattooists, who share a similar approach to tattoo artwork, yet maintain unique styles of their own. Their purpose as a studio is to provide a quality tattoo artwork with a personal touch.
