Served in a small roadside shop on the Delhi-Rohtak bypass road, this circular surprise weighs a bit more than 1 kg and is 18 inches wide. The shop gives you about 50 minutes to demolish this Indian bread. The reward: free paranthas for life.

2. Khade chamach ki chai (tea with a standing spoon)

As simple as the name suggests, this challenge comes with a cup of tea with a standing spoon planted in heaped loads of sugar. The 90% sugar tea challenge is so sweet that only three people have won so far. Offered in a popular Parsi food restaurant, you get a surprise gift if you manage to finish the cup of tea.

3. The mother-in-law's revenge challenge

Delicious but impossible to eat in under 30 minutes for most people, winning makes you a permanent celebrity on the wall of fame in the restaurant and gets you a free meal.

Serving quality and quantity in massive portions, this cafe in Gurugram offers a burger challenge. If you are up for it, you have 15 minutes to finish a meal that comprises of a burger with a patty that weighs 1.2 kg, packed with six cheese slices, fries, mayo and bbq sauce. The winner gets a special place on the restaurant’s wall of fame and a 20% discount on their next visit.
