Whether you want to live in the lap of luxury with your cat or dog or have a homely place to flop after sightseeing with your sidekick, these pet-friendly hotels have you covered.
Both humans and pets will find a serene sanctuary in the Rosewood Hong Kong, complete with topiaries adorning the outdoor spaces and a soaring harbour view. This five-star hotel caters thoughtfully for four-legged guests, with a gourmet pet menu, an outdoor dog toilet on level two and all the info you need on dog-friendly restaurants, bars and parks. Herbal supplements from Hong Kong’s first pet wellness brand ProVet are provided to boost your furry companion’s wellbeing.
This riverside hotel in Sha Tin is passionate about pets. Its Pawsome Dogcation Package – for dogs weighing up to 10kg (22lb) – offers welcome treats, including a Royal Canin gift set for the dogs and a minibar drink for human guests. It also throws in a one-hour studio pet photography session and a grooming discount to get your pooch looking its best. Dogs are allowed in the lobby, the outdoor part of the PitStop cafe and a section of the garden terrace.

The fun and flamboyant W Hong Kong sprawls across 393 rooms in West Kowloon, some of which take in show-stopping harbour views. Each spacious guest room can house one pet weighing up to 15kg (33lb), while the suites can have two pets. Order from the Pet Munchies in-room menu to dine together as you watch the sunset or night-time skyline, depending on the room. All the pet essentials are provided, along with toys and a guide to nearby pet-friendly experiences.
At the crossroads of lively Lan Kwai Fong and Soho, Ovolo Central has a location that delivers endless pockets to explore on foot – or paw. All the platinum and gold rooms at this light-filled boutique hotel are a comfortable 33sqm (355sqft), while the suites are double the size. You’ll find delightful perks for both humans and pets. Along with slippers and free minibar snacks, you can arrange a VIPooch package with a pet bed, food bowl and doggy bag with toys and treats.
At the Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour, all the rooms come with knockout waterfront views. Service is slick for all guests, including ones of the four-legged variety up to 30kg (66lb). Book the Centric Dogcation for all the amenities you need, along with a dedicated space for canine fun – the grassy Upper Farm Doggy Playground. Alternatively, pad over to North Point Promenade Dog Park nearby.
While you can play table tennis and darts at this sociable hostel, it’s not just humans who get all the fun. Dorms at Wontonmeen take one well-behaved dog or cat at a time – they might just prove the perfect icebreaker at this creative spot, where live music, art shows and craft workshops frequently take place. The owner is interior designer Patricia Choi, and her design flair is everywhere, from the rustic courtyard to the collaged walls.
