Club Mix

Bistro, Gastropub, Bar, Pub Grub
Club Mix is on the checklist of every club-goer in the city. The spacious venue, one of many located on the fringes of the Workers’ Stadium, has two floors, with each specialising in a specific type of music. It sometimes invites indie musicians and rappers to perform – you can find the performance schedule on its website.

V Plus Lounge

Bar, Gastropub, Nightclub, Pub Grub, $$$
This nightclub and bar, which is owned by Chinese pop singer Na Ying, offers both a lively dance floor and a cosy rooftop bar where patrons can relax and enjoy nighttime views of Beijing’s most dynamic area. V Plus Lounge also serves delicious bistro food – an example to those nightclubs that attach little importance to anything except for drinks and music.

Modo Ultra Club

Bar, Pub Grub, $$$
This club is housed within a shopping centre and is open when the other shops are shut, making it feel like you and your fellow revellers are the only people left in the world. Modo’s line-up includes a host of excellent DJs from South Korea, and we all know how good Korean club music is.

Latte

Bar, Nightclub, Pub Grub
Don’t be tricked by its name – despite the Latte moniker, the venue is not at all a quiet café, quite the contrary. As one of the few ticket-free clubs in Beijing, it’s very popular, with one customer commenting that “the club at midnight looks like a subway station during morning rush hour”. It is said that Latte’s performances are a bit cheesy, but that doesn’t stop it from being one of the most popular clubs in town.

Destination

Bar, Gastropub, Pub Grub
Destination is an icon of Beijing’s nightclub culture, as it is the city’s premier gay bar. This is the place for the officially unrecognized LGBTQ group to meet up and celebrate their lifestyle, with the club regularly hosting LGBTQ-related events.
