5. Jewel

Specializing in high-quality Chinese food in a high-end atmosphere, Jewel has transformed part of the Westin Hotel into a stunning eatery, where traditionally influenced décor intertwines with beautifully in-vogue accents – stunning ruby drapes hang from the restaurant’s ceiling to provide tableside privacy, and authentic tea sets bedazzle the dining room’s walls.

Not only is Jewel’s interior decoration impressive, but the restaurant’s take on Chinese fare is as well – beef ribs served in a red wine marinade and tomatoes dressed with fresh mint are just a few of the dishes on Jewel’s menu. For a fantastic dining atmosphere and Chinese food that is both elegant and full of flavor, splurging at Xidan’s Westin Hotel’s Jewel is a must.

6. Dingtaifeng (Xidan Branch)

This Chinese chain is known for providing hungry customers with outstanding dumplings and excellent customer service. Dingtaifeng is a relaxed and reasonably priced chain that serves up some of the city’s consistently best dumplings. It offers other staple Chinese dishes as well, making Dingtaifeng the perfect place to immerse yourself into the country’s cuisine. Although the restaurant is best known for its various steamed dumplings, customers also boast about Dingtaifeng’s complimentary dishes, such as spicy noodles and cold cucumber and vinegar salads. If ever you find yourself hungry and in the Xidan area, we recommend making your way to Dingtaifeng for some freshly steamed soup dumplings and an ice-cold beer.

7. Cepe
