Cambodia’s craft beer movement is on the rise, with more venues stocking a selection of local brews. Here are the best craft beer spots in the capital of Phnom Penh.

Owned by the masterminds behind Cerevisia CRAFT beer, Botanico is a popular spot in Phnom Penh with fans of craft beer. Visitors can sample the rotating six brews from Cerevisia’s lengthy list of options while sitting in the spacious tropical gardens that act as a getaway in the heart of the capital.

Himawari Microbrewery

Set in Himawari Hotel, this microbrewery produces four signature beers, along with several special brews. And each can be enjoyed at the hotel’s ground floor bar, or from the spacious outside garden, which overlooks the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers. The garden also has a children’s playground, making it the perfect spot for families.

Hops Craft Beer Garden is not only a spacious and stylish bar, it’s also home to a brewery producing a selection of German beers that take in wheat beer, full-bodied Indian pale ale (IPA) and red stout. German food is also served, and the venue boasts an art lounge, private meeting rooms, terraces and a sports bar with high-end billiard tables and electronic darts.
