1. Pizza Riva
Restaurant, Italian
Pizza Riva is a modern Italian eatery with an extensive menu. As well as the classic pizza toppings, there are also vegan versions to choose from, which are made without cheese, and with fresh ingredients such as avocado, artichoke and rocket. In addition to pizza, there is also a decent selection of salads, and a few pasta dishes. The interior is elegantly decorated and there is a generously sized seating area out front. Located down the road from the Karl’s Church, it is a great place to end up after a day’s sightseeing. Takeouts are also available.
2. Café Amacord
Restaurant, Austrian
Tucked away on a street adjacent to the bustling Naschmarkt, this cosy and quintessentially Austrian restaurant is a purveyor of traditional cuisine. Café Amacord offers a Viennese set menu with a beef broth for starters, a Wiener Schnitzel for main course, and apfelstrudel for dessert – expect a generous serving of whipped cream on the side.
3. Otto e Mezzo
Restaurant, Italian
This restaurant, named after the cult Fellini film, serves up delicious, traditional Italian fare. 4. Taste of India
Restaurant, Indian
Vienna isn’t well known for its Indian cuisine, but if you are craving something spicy then Taste of India in Wieden is where you should head to. The owners say they were inspired to open their restaurant due to strong memories from their childhood meals cooked by their Indian grandparents. On the menu you’ll find many of the Western favorites, such as tikka masala and rogan josh curries, as well as some intriguing lesser known specialities and sharing platters. There is an outdoor area for dining in warmer weather.
5. Coté Sud
Restaurant, French
