Argentina is fast becoming one of the most popular destinations for digital nomads and remote workers. With work-away programs such as Remote Year, Unsettled, and We Roam choosing cities such as Buenos Aires and Cordoba as core cities from which to work remotely, co-working spaces are becoming ever more present. Here are some of the country’s best co-working spaces.

Urban Station, Buenos Aires

Urban Station, Palermo, Buenos Aires

Urban Station was one of the original co-working spaces in Argentina and now has five locations in the capital and its suburbs. Alongside its branches in Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Egypt, Urban Station provides a reliable workspace for all types of professionals, as well as flexible meeting and communal spaces. Run on a pay-as-you-go system, Urban Station doesn’t require the same commitment as other co-working spaces, allowing you the freedom to choose when and how you work.

We Work, Buenos Aires

Global co-working space provider We Work recently opened its first location in Buenos Aires, in the 25-story tower Torre Bellini in the upscale Retiro neighbourhood. We Work is at the upper end of the co-working spectrum, with a monthly desk costing 4,000AR$ (US$235) per person, but for this you get an inspiring contemporary design, state-of-the-art technology, varied conference and meeting spaces, common areas such as a rooftop terrace and games rooms, onsite staff, and a prime location in one of the city’s most beautiful and historic areas. The company recently announced the opening of a second property, in the suburb of Vicente Lopez.

La Maquinita, Buenos Aires

La Maquinita is one of the capital’s most popular co-working spaces, with six locations already open across the city. With options from hot desking to a permanent office, La Maquinita excels in creating a convivial work environment for professionals across the board, from tech start-ups to creatives. The Palermo Hollywood property is located in a converted warehouse and organizes weekly events so you can get to know your co-workers and experience the hottest neighbourhood in town like a local. Fixed desks cost from 3500AR$ a month (US$200). New properties are planned for Rosario and La Lucila in the near future.

Loop Coworking, Cordoba

All you need is your computer

Situated in a residential house complete with backyard and swimming pool, Cordoba’s Loop Coworking feels like a home away from home, but is equipped everything you require from a co-working space. The atmosphere is casual yet professional, and Argentina’s second city also has the advantage of being close to some incredible natural landscapes and outdoor activities, should you feel you need a break from the city. Loop has partnered with Google in the past on various initiatives, lending it a global stamp of approval. A fixed desk costs 2750AR$ a month (US$160).

Manawa, Buenos Aires

Manawa provides an intimate space for those who want to would like to avoid the bigger office-like environments of some other co-working spaces. Ideal for freelancers and digital nomads, Manawa’s homey vibe makes you feel as if you are working with a group of friends. Avail yourself of the quaint, plant-filled terrace, play ping-pong on the patio, or head out to any of the great lunch spots around the Palermo Soho area where Manawa is located. Fixed monthly desks cost 2300AR$ (US$135).

Coworking Rosario, Rosario

Rosario’s best co-working space is located in a beautifully renovated building on the banks of the Parana River. Coworking Rosario has everything you need to work efficiently and effectively. Ideal for creative professionals, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and digital nomads, this contemporary space has many flexible desk options as well as meeting rooms and events spaces. Fixed desks cost 1980AR$ a month (US$115).

AreaTres, Buenos Aires
