Best Spots for Seafood on Prince Edward Island

One of the first things that comes to mind when you talk about Prince Edward Island is its phenomenal seafood. You’ll find some of the freshest offerings in all of Canada here, with restaurants serving up local specialties like lobster, mussels, and chowder. Narrowing down the list was not easy, but we managed to come up with the best of the best.

2. New Glasgow Lobster Suppers

For a classic lobster dinner experience, you need to visit New Glasgow Lobster Suppers. You’ll enjoy fresh local lobster with all the standard accompaniments, including melted butter, fresh rolls, and potato salad. Don’t forget the strawberry shortcake and lemon meringue pie for dessert!

3. Blue Mussel Café

With a focus on fresh, quality (and never deep fried) seafood, Blue Mussel Café offers “a large variety of delicious and wholesome foods.” This popular spot in North Rustico has a 73% Excellent rating on Trip Advisor and boasts gorgeous views of the harbour.

If you’re looking for the best lobster roll in town, you’ll want to check out Dave’s Lobster in Charlottetown. Their small menu has captured the hearts of locals and tourists, and, if you don’t get your fill on the island, you can always check out their stall along Halifax’s waterfront.

For a cool hipster vibe, great cocktail menu, and killer seafood selection, head to The Brickhouse in downtown Charlottetown. After dinner, head upstairs for live music at Marc’s Lounge.
