Epic Morocco – the ultimate Moroccan vacation

If you want the complete Morocco experience, this 11-day extravaganza is the closest you can get. Ancient cities, rural villages, the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara desert – we’ll show you the lot. The trip starts in Casablanca before heading to the surreal blue town of Chefchaouen and the Roman ruins of Volubilis. You’ll visit Fes – the best present day distillation of ancient Morocco – and venture into the Sahara for a night at a luxury desert riad. We’ll visit a Gnawa village, go sunrise camel riding and explore Todra and Dades Gorges in the Atlas Mountains. Finally, explore the epic kasbah of Ait-Ben-Haddou en route to Marrakech, where we’ll spend the last couple of days. As well as endless exploration and sightseeing highlights, you’ll immerse yourself into local culture by lunching and sharing stories with local families, dining Berber-style under the stars, sampling street food delights in Marrakech and taking a Moroccan cooking masterclass. Not bad for just one trip, right?

Myriad Morocco – the perfect five day itinerary

If you’re looking for just as authentic an experience but have less holiday time to play with, fear not. We’ve put together a mini Moroccan itinerary that still manages to blend city, mountain and desert. The whole trip is centred around multicoloured Marrakech, one of the most dynamic, vital cities on Earth. The old medina has preserved its ancient sense of atmosphere beautifully, which you’ll get to discover first hand with the help of our Local Insider. You’ll be guided down narrow alleys and chaotic markets, visiting Koutoubia Mosque and Jemaa el-Fna, as well as a bakery that’s been running for hundreds of years. Then it’s up high into the nearby Atlas Mountains to experience traditional Berber living. We’ll go hiking in the mountains, dine like the locals and stay in an authentic riad. Finally, we’ll head to the Agafay for an amazing desert experience at a luxury camp. Join an optional sunset camel ride, dine desert style and chat around the campfire as stars shimmer brightly above.
