Looking to book a big adventure abroad for your team, squad or club? Check out this collection of Culture Trip itineraries which make ideal trips and tours for your sports group.

There’s plenty of reasons to opt for a private tour. You can share once-in-a-lifetime experiences with the people you love to hang out with most. It also allows for far greater flexibility on travel dates, group sizes (min. 4) and even age requirements – our small-group trips have a minimum age of 25, so younger sports teams might be better off going private!

Adventurous Ecuador

Share a team-bonding experience like no other on this eight-day itinerary across the ever-changing landscapes of Ecuador. You’ll start with chocolate tasting and a cooking class in Quito, before leaving the city behind for a week of outdoor adventure. Try your hands at horse-riding in Cotopaxi National Park, get chatting on a scenic hike around Quilotoa Lake and find out who has the bottle to have a go on the Swing at the End of the World. Don’t get too competitive as you cycle the Baños Waterfall Route, or you could easily miss some of the most beautiful bodies of cascading water on the planet. Eventually, the team will reach the Amazon, where we’ll stay at a secluded lodge, go whitewater rafting and spot rare species on a nighttime rainforest trek.

Treat your team to a memory-making tropical retreat as you traverse the unique Central American landscapes of Costa Rica on this eight-day thrill-ride. We start in Arenal Volcano National Park, where the team can soak in natural hot springs with a view of the towering volcano in the distance. You’ll sample some of the world’s finest coffee, splash about in hidden waterfalls and go on a sloth-spotting walking tour before departing for the highlands of Monteverde. You’ll be staying in a scenic country lodge, from where we’ll go on a nighttime cloud forest hike to spot howler monkeys and pumas, before whitewater rafting down Tenorio River and taking an authentic Costa Rican cooking class. The trip ends with a laid-back stay in the surf town of Tamarindo, where the team can choose between chilled out beach days, a surf lesson, mountain biking, fishing or even an off-road ATV tour.

Atlantic Azores

This epic volcanic archipelago far off the coast of Portugal gives a whole new meaning to the phrase adventure playground. You and your squad can spent six action-packed days with Culture Trip on the main island of São Miguel. We’ll start by exploring the otherworldly crater lakes of Sete Cidades, shimmering in bluey green hues and surrounded by luscious greenery. We’ll 4×4 up the mountain, cycle around the lakes and kayak across them on day two. You’ll also hike to Salto do Cabrito waterfall and go canyoning among the subtropical surrounds of Ribeira dos Caldeirões, followed by a cocktail-making class and a soak in some natural hot springs. Our last full day starts with a bit of food prep, as we rustle him a traditional cozido stew. The stew will be placed underground to be cooked for around six hours using only the natural heat generated by the volcanic landscape. In the meantime we’ll embark on a challenging hike around Lake Furnas, before returning home to our hearty ready-made dinner.

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
