Waterfront dining, private beachfront tables and candlelit dinners – it’s the stuff romance movies are made of and it’s all available in the Fiji Islands. You might be opening your wallet wide but you can’t put a price on the romance you will feel with your beloved, as you indulge in some of the most luxurious restaurants in Fiji.

1. Turtle Island

Hotel Restaurant, Contemporary, Seafood, Oceanian

Fancy a waiter arriving on a boat to serve your meal? Enjoy the most secluded and romantic dinner date you could image on a floating pontoon at Turtle Island in the Yasawas. From local seafood delicacies to tender Australian beef, you’ll dine under the stars while surrounded by lanterns.

2. The Warwick

Restaurant, Hotel Restaurant, Seafood, Oceanian

Restaurants on land can be romantic, but why be like everyone else when you can dine out at sea? The Warwick offers a private romantic dining experience under a gazebo, floating on its own little island away from any other guests. Enjoy breakfast or dinner under the sky, while hearing the ocean gently lap at the shore next to your feet. For dinner, you can choose a five-course meal or a seafood extravaganza, with some of the best local fruits of the sea Fiji has to offer. The experience is available seven days a week but advanced bookings are essential.

3. Ports O' Call

Restaurant, Oceanian, French, European, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-free

Ports O’ Call offers one of the few fine dining experiences on the mainland of Viti Levu. Situated within the Sheraton Resort at Denarau, the restaurant décor resembles the interior of an ocean liner. The menu offers a range of international flavors, as well as more local tastes, such as Vanua Levu duck and fresh grilled fish, not forgetting the decadent dessert menu. Be sure to dress for the occasion – no shorts allowed.

4. Navutu Stars

Boutique Hotel Restaurant, Mediterranean, Oceanian

Dine by candlelight, under the stars or on your own private bure balcony at Navutu Stars in the Yasawa Islands. The Navutu Stars restaurant only uses top quality local ingredients, including freshly caught lobster, crab and tuna, along with organic, seasonal vegetables. The cuisine has a distinct Italian flair, with both chefs having been trained by Italian chefs. Expect to see local flavors, such as kokoda (a Fijian-style ceviche) as well as Italian influences, such as home-made gnocchi.

5. V Restaurant

Restaurant, Contemporary, Oceanian, European

V Restaurant at the Sofitel offers contemporary and classy dining in Denarau. The service is second-to-none and the menu offers a range of exquisitely presented dishes. A selection of breads precedes every meal, as well as a complimentary palate cleanser between courses. V Restaurant offers an indoor dining experience, complete with candlelit meals and romantic ambiance.
