There’s one thing every traveler needs to do when in the Fiji Islands – and that is to drift into island time. Perhaps the best way to do that is through the practice of yoga. Nourish, strengthen and rejuvenate your body, mind and soul with the best yoga retreats in Fiji.

1. Daku Resort

Daku Resort hails itself as Fiji’s premier yoga destination. Located in the picturesque beach town of Savusavu on Vanua Levu, it offers regular week-long retreats, with each day consisting of two yoga lessons, excursions, and three healthy meals. A typical retreat day starts with a morning yoga practice, then breakfast and deep relaxation, lunch, an excursion, and restorative yoga to conclude the day’s activities before your evening meal. There is usually at least one retreat held each month during the year.

Matanivusi Resort in Pacific Harbour is first and foremost a resort for surfers. However, surfers need to pay careful attention to their bodies and wellness, which is why the resort offers daily yoga classes and a space for hosted yoga retreats. It is an eco-resort designed to have as little impact on the environment as possible. Matanivusi’s yoga studio is built on a wooden deck looking out to the rainforest, providing an ideal setting to relax and be one with nature.

3. Koro Sun

Koro Sun Resort in Savusavu offers a number of mindfulness and wellness retreats each year, including yoga and even stand-up paddleboard yoga. The SUP yoga retreat works to challenge typical yoga practices by adding the extra element of balance. As well as SUP yoga, there is also yin yoga, acroyoga and meditation classes for participants. Koro Sun’s other wellness retreats offer daily yoga practices, as well as healthy meals and other excursions.
