Constant Spring

BBQ

Constant Spring is a laid-back gastro-pub serving up a variety of drinks and delicious eats. The bar features craft brews from all around the area plus other domestic and imported beer, along with a small selection of wine and many specialty cocktails. As for cuisine, you’ll find an array of delicious options made from nothing but the best locally sourced ingredients, including organic produce. Dishes include the Southern Bell sandwich with a flavor profile of Caroline BBQ pulled pork, smoked mozzarella and pickles and the 219 burger topped with cheddar, jalapeños, bacon, fried egg and bacon aioli.

Dutch Maid Bakery

A staple on Goshen’s dining scene, Dutch Maid Bakery is the perfect place for something sweet or savory. This charming venue offers up a variety of sweet treats such as eclairs, cannoli, turnovers, cookies, donuts, cupcakes and so much more. If you crave something savory, the menu offers house-made soups like portobello mushroom; salads such as the smokey chicken; and build-your-own sandwiches. They also offer all-day breakfast. Coffee and espresso-based drinks, along with signature varieties, are also available.

The Electric Brew

Established in 1996 by Brenda Hosteler-Kauffman and her husband Tony, The Electric Brew got its name from what was supposed to be the original location, a shoe repair store called ‘The Electric Shoe.’ However, knowing it would not be large enough, they changed location and became the first coffeehouse in the area. Today, it’s owned by a different family who has added to the already much-loved coffee house. It offers visitors and residents great drinks and tasty menus, plus they roast their own coffee. You can pair a baked good like apricot scones with a café au lait or a cup of soup with a sandwich.

Goshen Brewing Company

Craft beer

Nestled in the former Northern Indiana Public Service Company, Goshen Brewing Company is a welcoming brewpub offering handcrafted brews and delicious seasonal menus made with local and organic ingredients. The restaurant is family-friendly and offers a spacious patio with lovely views of the woods and river. You can expect options such as macaroni and cheese with smoked pork and barbecue sauce; the Midnight Moon sandwich with aged goat cheese, figs and honey; and Pad Thai.

Kelly Jae’s Cafe

Located downtown within a beautifully restored historic space, complete with exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and a detailed original tin ceiling is Kelly Jae’s Cafe. The brainchild of Chef Kelly Jae Graff, the cafe prides itself on using only the best ingredients, including organic produce from local purveyors. The warm, inviting space is a wonderful spot to feast upon recipes such as the kale pesto-marinated Gulf shrimp with mushroom ravioli and cherry tomatoes; the panko-crusted chicken breast stuffed with Spanish ham, feta, and Italian parsley with a caper-Spanish olive beurre blanc.

Los Primos

Burritos stuffed with meat and vegetables

If you’re craving some Latin American eats, then Los Primos is the place to go. Los Primos’ menu is brimming with zesty recipes. If you visit for breakfast, you’ll find the torta de huevos Española, which is a Spanish omelette with potatoes, eggs, red and green peppers and salsa. As for lunch and dinner, the arroz paella with shrimp and vegetables and the Aztec burrito stuffed with sautéed cactus, Mexican sausage, onion, bell peppers, cheese and serrano pepper are two great choices.

South Side Soda Shop

For a taste of good ole American food, then South Side Soda Shop should be at the top of your list of dining destinations in Goshen. Located inside a building from the early 1900s, South Side Soda Shop has a classic diner feel, enhanced by the dining car that was attached to the building in 1986. The menu boasts dishes such as The Seafood Feast with shrimp, clams and mussels steamed with potatoes and corn on the cob in Old Bay Seasoning. For something sweet, try a float, malt or shake and a piece of lemon meringue or banana cream.

Venturi

In a space where the old and the new blend together through exposed brick walls, lofty ceilings and modern light fixtures, Venturi serves up delicious Certified Neapolitan Pizza. In fact the pizza is so good it was voted amongst the ‘top 15 most life-changing pizzas in the nation’ by Esquire readers. Snack on some herbed garlic flatbread or fougasse – pull apart breadsticks with San Marzano tomato sauce, herbs, and extra virgin olive oil. Highlights include the sweet roasted red pepper pizza on a red base with fior di latte (mozzarella), roasted red peppers, basil and capers and the white pizza with ricotta and house-made pesto. Venturi also offers sandwiches, sweet endings and craft cocktails and is open daily.
