As spring pokes its head tentatively round the corner, mindful drinking connoisseur Camille Vidal has created the perfect liquid mood-boosting accompaniment for those long, sunny afternoons, inspired by the Soap & Glory Uplifting body care collection.
You don’t often see the words “healthy” and “hedonism” rubbing shoulders with each other on the page. Nor is it common to see the word “drinking” sharing a paragraph with “mindful”. But that’s all set to change, thanks to mindful cocktail creator and self-proclaimed healthy hedonist Camille Vidal, who is revolutionising our attitude to drinking one irresistible cocktail at a time.
Camille is the founder of La Maison Wellness, which she started as a platform to spread the word about mindful drinking and share recipes for No and Low cocktails – drinks with zero or low alcohol content.
To demonstrate this relatively new concept in action, Camille has made a unique, zesty, zero-alcohol concoction – the Bright Side Spritz – inspired by the fragrance of grapefruit and rhubarb found in the new Soap & Glory Uplifting body care collection.
“Aroma is really important in creating a delicious cocktail,” says Camille. “These citrus fragrances in the Soap & Glory range can really help invigorate and uplift the senses, which is why it’s the perfect inspiration to experiment with some incredible fruity flavours in this cocktail.”
Making the Bright Side Spritz
Ingredients
50ml Seedlip Grove 42 (alcohol-free spirit with grapefruit)
50ml grapefruit juice
25ml honey water (honey with hot water)
1 tsp rose water
Method
Shake all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker (or whatever you have to hand) and pour into a wine glass
Top up with Fentimans rhubarb tonic water
Garnish with grapefruit, rose petal and rosemary
