Nominated for several Grammy awards, Brazilian singer-songwriter Maria do Céu Whitaker Poças is now performing at Jamboree. Céu’s style is influenced by Brazilian music and jazz queens such as Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as masters of soul like Erykah Badu. Her music is a unique blend of rhythmic and playful melodies. Jamboree is one of the most well-known jazz venues in downtown Barcelona, located in the middle of Plaça Reial, and if you’ve never visited, this night might well be a perfect occasion to do so.
